Client Spotlight

Client Request:
Some projects feed your creativity while others feed your soul. Our project with researchers at Boise State University does both! We are entering our second year documenting Project SCALES, a USDA grant funded initiative designed to improve school meal systems in rural communities. To tell this story effectively, we don't cut corners. We travel with our full cinema interview kit to ensure professional, studio-quality results, no matter how remote the location. This project has taken us to cattle farms in Yosemite Valley, produce farms in New York, and even salmon fisheries on remote islands off the coast of Alaska!

Our lens is focused on the people at the center of our food systems. School nutrition staff, farmers, and educators whose sole goal is ensuring children get the nutrition they need. It’s a project defined by raw emotion, often capturing tears of joy from subjects who are wildly passionate about their communities. This experience fuels a passion in us to not only document what matters most, but to become better people and better members of our own communities at home. It is a privilege to travel the country documenting the people who are feeding the future.
